The Beginning of an IconWe have all heard about this company. Originally, Apple Inc. began with two men but the name of Steven Jobs and Steven Wozniak. These two men where reclusive to a small nerdy world of computers that many believed would be insubstantial. However, today it is one of the largest conglomerates in the world with almost every household carrying an Apple product. However, in the beginning, Apple went through ups and downs. Now as a leading front man in technology, we know that companies like this one have to be successful because of a mass effort of all its resources completing a goal in which we call teamwork. Apple is no different. However, you will see that many of their lowest points are due to the leadership not taking into consideration the position of the 'team' or inability to work beside others while their highest points are when they work together and maintain a central focus.

How Apple did in the Market
How did they make it work?
In this case study, you must have noticed that leadership played a key role in whether or not Apple Inc. made money. In the times that it made money in the market, notice a particular trend in which those in the leadership role were able to collaborate and work well with other managerial individuals or companies. So in a sense, working in a group allows individuals to work well with other groups in a symbiotic relationship of sorts. This enables both groups to help one another and meet their own goals in a give and take relationship. Also, it is noted that in a team it is important to have a leader who is well-known in the situation or knowledge behind the team's goal. In the downside examples, we that Apple Inc. is tanking in the market. The individuals in the leadership roles at these time periods may have had great knowledge in business but not business technology. In the second downside example, the CEO had no idea of how to fix the issues of building the products becasue he did not have basic computer knowledge and so so had a tough time solving the problem of backorders. Furthermore, in the first downside example, we see that Jobs and Sculley at odds with each other and so it is important to to have a team in which all team members can work together and push aside differences to reach said goal. Also, it can be disadvantage when there is more than one person in said leadership role. This can bring dysfunction and chaos in terms of who's word is final law. I really believe that after all these issues, Apple Inc. saw that they needed someone who knew technology and lead a team (company) and so they reinstated Steve Jobs. So in a sense these negatives turned into a positive because Apple Inc. is now world famous for their IPods, I-Phone, and I-Pads.
